The County Parks Department has one part-time seasonal employee. There are three parks that the county has helped develop and is responsible for maintaining.
- Pilcher Creek Reservoir is approximately 12 miles west of the City of North Powder. The park offers 17 camping sites, restrooms and a boat ramp. Pilcher Creek has fishing, bird watching, and during the winter an elk feeding station.
- Wolf Creek Reservoir is approximately 8 miles west of the City of North Powder. A boat ramp, boarding float, restrooms and picnic areas are available for use. Wolf Creek activities include fishing, water-skiing, and jet skiing.
- Thief Valley Reservoir is approximately 15 miles southeast of the City of Union. There are 12 camping sites, restrooms and a boat launching ramp. The reservoir is known for its fishing and wind surfing activities.
Funding for the parks is provided by Oregon State Parks and the Oregon State Marine Board. |  |
